This is the perfect reel for the angler who loves fishing light surf-casting tactics, weighing in at only 545 grms this reel is brilliantly balanced among the light fixed spool rods currently on the market. Coming with a shallow spool as standard which is capable of holding either 200 mts of .2o mono/braid or more if you are going to be fishing even lighter this reel really is the business. Dressed in a pearlescent white colouration this reel is a very pretty bit of kit, do not be fooled though, even though it has the looks of supermodel it is a true workhorse. You can be fishing match tactics targeting the smaller fish on light tackle with this reel and then if you hook a big fish you have no worry’s this reel will be able to easily cope with it.

Here in the UK I have had this reel a few months now and I have been putting it through its paces, matched up with either my Vertix Eclipse or my Teklon Surf Competition 2 this reel has been out on nearly every session I have been doing . First impressions were how light it is, it looks great and once you strap it into the reel seat you will be impressed by not only how it sits but how it feels on the rod. Not only is it lightweight but its also quite compact which is why I would recommend this for your light work, scratching set up, the capacity of the spool is not huge but its perfect for this type of fishing using super low diameter lines. 

I would not recommend this reel for heavy/rough ground, in my eyes this is a clean to slightly mixed ground reel, perfect for sandy or shingle beaches where you can let a rolling lead trot across in front of you without fear of being snagged up. The retrieve on it is good too with each turn of the handle putting 102cm of line on the spool, perfect for match fishing with 3 hooks when speed is of the essence, get it in and get it back out for more points asap !!

All in all this reel is great for the UK summer fishing, clean ground, rolling leads and superlight tackle….Total Bliss
