The Vertix Divine is a long cast surf reel designed for modern surf fishing. The excellent line lay gives long smooth casting and the two spools give you the option of a traditional high capacity spool or a shallow braid, light nylon spool. The smooth 20kg front drag helps with playing bigger fish.
The Divine is an excellent match to the continental style of rods and is perfect for general beach fishing.

Looks wise this reel is no pretty little compact beauty, oh no, this reel looks exactly how it performs….Tough as nails. The sleek black coating on the reel is interspersed with little splashes of carbon in various places which finishes it off beautifully. The handle is machined out of aluminium and finished off with a large rubber grip so it sits comfortably in the hand whilst reeling in.

I have been using this reel for well over a year now and it is my go to reel if I want to fish fixed spool in heavier ground or where the lighter tackle wont be up to the job. This is the beast I took to Norway with me, fishing into heavy kelp beds with 60lb braid straight through this had no problems and when snagged it felt like I could have pulled the plug out of the ocean, the drag really is amazing

This reel isn’t all about the heavier fishing though, you can also buy a shallow Teflon competition spool which when paired up with the reel makes it perfect for surfcasting with thin diameter lines. I normally pair it up with either my Vertix Eclipse Vitesse or Teklon Surf Comp ll rod and it balances these out perfectly, as mentioned already the toughness and drag on this brute is out of this world and it has never missed a beat in all the times I have used it.

All in all this reel is a very strong workhorse and I would seriously recommend it to any angler looking for a tough beast of a fixed spool reel that wont break the bank.
