PTFE coating technology has been applied for many years to certain ranges of hooks. Only Teklon however has succeeded in mastering this technique for its new range of K hooks. Any overlap no matter how lightweight increases the body volume and therefore the thickness. Our made in Japan technology created special moulds to build finer, chemically sharpened hooks with a smaller volume despite having a PTFE coating. The result is a hook that respects its properties allows a much higher penetration index and a lot better corrosion resistance over time.

I have been using these hooks since they came on the market with the 2018 Teklon range and all I can say is that these are amazing. Just the packet itself looks quality, and then when you first set eyes on the hooks for the first time you will be intrigued by the way they look. These are not your everyday metal hooks, these are coated in a very fine PTFE coating meaning they stay sharper for a lot longer and are a lot more corrosion resistant than other brands. Obviously being a spade end hook these will not be to everybody’s taste but if like me you love spade ends and know the benefits they present, (much better presentation when using small baits) you will love these hooks. They are super sharp and they hold baits lovely, I have not had one snap on me and the hook hold they produce on a fish is second to none… Nothing is getting away from these bad boys.

A truly excellent hook from Grauvell that all you match anglers should be using, I for one will be using these on my sole / plaice fishing rigs all summer and then into winter they will be my go to scratching hook ensuring that when fishing for bites not one rattle on the tip is a missed fish.
