This rod needs no introduction to the angler in the know, this is rated by many top international match anglers as the rod to use, the number 1 out of all the fixed spool rods currently out there. This rod puts all others to shame many have tried to take the surf comp’s crown but all have failed and not even come close

I personally have been using the 4.5m rod for over a year now and what a tool it is, if this rod was a Hollywood blockbuster it would be part of the Transformers franchise, one minute you are fishing with the rod in its standard guise, then with the add of an extra tip it becomes a totally different machine this rod covers every end of the shore angling spectrum. Starting with the rod and its standard tip this is a solid beast capable of chucking 7oz and bait a long way and I personally have used this rod like this in some seriously snaggy conditions and this rod has came out tops every time.

Next we have the 2 beach ledgering tips (light/Medium), long superlight tips that once fitted into the carrier section turn this into a super soft rod, capable of fishing 50 grams and little bunches of Maddies or other soft baits when fishing matches or venues where the delicate touch is a must to even see a bite.

Then we have the 3 carbon tips  (light/medium/heavy), these tips are for normal beach conditions, turning the rod into an amazing fixed spool machine, capable of fishing clean to mixed ground with weights to 6oz and bait, these tips hold lovely in a hard tide and the bite indication is phenomenal.

This is one rod that when I am on the beach using I actually feel proud be seen with, it truly is like nothing else I have personally ever used and as stated before that is why the worlds top anglers love this rod. To be number 1 you have to use number 1 and the Surf Comp 2 is top of the pile by a long, long way.
